Legal Bases for EEA and UK Processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases for the stated purposes:
- Contract: We process personal information as necessary to provide requested account services and to administer orders, process and confirm payments through payment providers, fulfill purchases, arrange shipping, and handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.
- Legal obligation: We process personal information as necessary to meet tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements and to respond to lawful requests from courts, regulators, and public authorities.
- Legitimate interests: Where permitted and not overridden by your rights and interests, we process personal information for our legitimate interests in securing the Services, preventing fraud and abuse, providing customer support, operating and improving the store, and conducting proportionate analytics to understand and improve performance and customer experience.
- Consent: Where applicable law requires consent, we rely on consent for nonessential cookies, email or SMS marketing, and targeted advertising. Where consent is not required, these activities may be carried out on another lawful basis permitted by applicable law. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
- Shopify, which hosts and powers the store, checkout, and related commerce services.

- Email and SMS marketing providers, which help us manage subscriptions and deliver communications in accordance with your preferences and applicable law.
- Advertising platforms and partners, which help measure campaigns, limit repetition, build audiences, or personalize advertising where permitted.
- Seel, when you select Worry-Free Purchase or another Seel order-protection option, so that coverage, support, and claims can be administered under the terms shown when you purchase the protection.
- Professional advisers and authorities, such as lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, regulators, courts, and law-enforcement authorities, when reasonably necessary or legally required.
- Parties to a corporate transaction, such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of our business or assets, subject to appropriate protections as required by law.
We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent. Service providers may use personal information only for authorized purposes subject to their agreements with us and applicable law, while some third parties act under their own privacy notices.
Our Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted and powered by Shopify. Information submitted through the Services is transmitted to and processed by Shopify to provide and improve commerce, checkout, security, and related services. Shopify may process information in countries other than the country where you live and, for certain Shopify features, may determine purposes and means of processing under its own privacy notice.
Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you may also submit requests concerning Shopify's processing through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Cookies and Online Advertising
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: operate checkout, remember cart contents, authenticate accounts, maintain security, prevent fraud, and provide requested functionality.
- Preferences: remember language, region, and other settings.
- Analytics: measure traffic, performance, and how visitors use the Services.
- Marketing: measure promotions, understand interactions with ads, create audiences, and personalize advertising where permitted.
You can use available cookie controls and browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may prevent checkout, account, preference, or other features from working properly. Browser settings and cookie controls may be device- and browser-specific and may not affect technologies that are not controlled by those settings.
Masters Dice does not sell personal information for money. We may disclose identifiers, commercial information, and internet or other electronic network activity to advertising platforms and partners to measure or personalize advertising. Depending on where you live, applicable law may define some of those disclosures as a "sale," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising, even though no money is exchanged for the personal information.
Your Privacy Choices and Global Privacy Control
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have separate rights to opt out of (1) the sale of your personal information, (2) the sharing of your personal information, and (3) the processing of your personal information for targeted advertising. You can exercise applicable rights through our Your Privacy Choices page.
Where required by applicable law, the Services recognize a supported Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser and device sending the signal. Because the signal is generally browser- and device-specific, it may not apply to other browsers or devices. We do not claim that a browser signal creates a universal account-level opt-out. If you use multiple browsers or devices, submit the preference on each one or use the Your Privacy Choices page as applicable.
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain an account or transaction record, administer returns and support, comply with legal and accounting obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. The retention period varies based on the nature and sensitivity of the information, why it was collected, whether it remains necessary, and applicable legal requirements. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and should contact us if you believe your account or interaction with the Services has been compromised.
Children's Data
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it. We do not knowingly sell or share, as those terms are defined by applicable law, personal information of anyone under 16 years of age.
Regional Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Access or know whether we process your personal information and obtain access to it, including information about categories, sources, purposes, and recipients.
- Delete certain personal information we maintain about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Port certain personal information in a usable format.
- Opt out of (1) the sale of your personal information, (2) the sharing of your personal information, and (3) the processing of your personal information for targeted advertising, where each right applies.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including objection to direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time when processing is based on consent, without affecting processing completed before withdrawal.
- Appeal a refusal to act on your request, where applicable.
- Receive equal service and pricing and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
These rights are not absolute and vary by jurisdiction. To submit a request, email info@mastersdice.com or use an applicable method described on our Your Privacy Choices page. Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. We may need to verify your identity and jurisdiction before completing a request, and we may ask for additional information reasonably necessary for verification.
If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may require proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to verify your identity or confirm the request directly, as permitted by law. We will not use verification information for unrelated purposes. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting us through the details below. EEA and UK residents may also object to processing, request restriction, or lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. U.S. residents may contact their state attorney general where applicable.
Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may opt out of promotional text messages by following the instructions provided in the message. We may continue to send non-promotional messages that are necessary for orders, accounts, security, support, or legal notices. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect processing completed before the withdrawal.
International Data Transfers
We and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries that may have privacy laws different from those where you live. Where required for transfers from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with transfer restrictions, we use recognized safeguards appropriate to the transfer, such as applicable adequacy decisions or contractual protections recognized under EEA or UK law. You may contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your personal information, subject to lawful confidentiality limitations.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to websites, applications, social platforms, or services operated by third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own notices, not this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control. Review the relevant third party's privacy notice before providing personal information.
Complaints
If you have a concern about our handling of personal information, contact us first so we can review it. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to a data-protection authority, privacy regulator, or state attorney general. This does not limit any rights available to you under applicable law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices, the Services, or legal requirements. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a material change takes effect.
